I love new gadgets and always look out for newcomers in the world of social media. A few weeks ago and thanks to June from Junewantsitall, I stumbled across Piccing, which is an image sharing and shopping platform. Of course I had to try it out and see for myself what it can do 🙂
Essentially, Piccing helps to find and shop items in any image in one platform. So besides collecting, organizing and sharing images of favorite items found on the web, the main idea is to “picc” the items you like. You do that by marking and describing the desired items. The platform then allows you to quickly find and shop the same or similar items.
Piccing has an App and also a website . The website I think is essential to view the products properly on a bigger screen before buying them. Their user interface is really simple and self explanatory. Once you have created your account, you are ready to browse the categories of your interest.
The best feature is that you can click on the green plus button located on the items you picc’d and either be directed to the exact item or get similar suggestions. This way you are able to find out the price and the brand of desired products.
I think Piccing makes great use of crowd sourcing and for a fun and easy shopping experience. When you think about it and consider how much we all use social media you wonder why nobody came up with this idea any sooner 🙂
