Dress code for the Ascot racecourse

posted in: London, Street Fashion | 26

Happy Monday!

On my way to sales shopping in London, I was surprised to see so many beautifully dressed up people. After asking the first two gorgeous ladies below, I quickly realised that all those pretty Londoners were heading towards the Ascot racecourse.

The dress code for this particular racecourse is pretty strict and depends on what type of ticket you have and in which area you’re sitting. For example, if you have tickets for the royal enclosure, you’ll have to follow these rules:

Ladies:

  • Hat should be worn OR a headpiece with a base of 4 inch or more in diameter is acceptable as an alternative to a hat.
  • Dress and skirt should be of modest length defined as falling just above the knee or longer.

Gentlemen:

  • Must wear either a black or grey morning dress which includes a waistcoat and a tie (NO cravats), a black or grey top hat and black shoes.

Let’s have a look and see if these folks are dressed accordingly!
