Normally when I pack for a holiday, I try to get almost my entire wardrobe into my suitcase. But on my last trip to New York I finally managed not to over-pack….well, mainly because I knew I was going to spend a lot of time on shopping and also taking pictures of stylish people in Lower Manhattan … 😉

I also had a pair of long denim jeans and a trench coat with me which I didn’t use that much.
Do you also like to take a lot of ‘just in case’ items that you don’t need? Or are you one of the efficient travelers with one carry-on bag only?

A year ago I lost all my bags when I was travelling and since then I learned you could make it work with A LOT less than what you would normally pack for trips!

love the NYC outfits!! i tend to travel light – usually a duffle bag for a weekend, or a small carry-on for longer trips. i know people who take a week’s worth of clothing for a weekend trip just to be safe – having to lug that much stuff around would stress me out!
